Experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice, on any chair, anywhere!
This chair yoga class is perfect for everyBODY but especially for those who want to participate in yoga but have challenges getting down to a yoga mat on the floor. It is ideal if you are travelling, sitting at a desk, a bit older or less mobile, living with a disability, doing rehab or managing an injury.
The benefits of chair yoga are immense. Not only can you gain better flexibility, mobility, balance, and strength but you can improve your circulation, digestion and [***] also helps to calm the mind, reducing stress and anxiety levels.
Claire’s class is taught in a way that is supportive and inclusive for all members of the community. All of the yoga poses are adapted to the chair, with multiple options offered so that everybody can participate at the same time, in the same class regardless of age, level of experience or ability. If you are in a wheelchair - you can join our class. The student can take an approach that may be gentle and mindful, or more dynamic and challenging depending on their own personal needs.
This class consists of 35 minutes of chair asanas to strengthen muscles and joints, improve mobility, health and fitness.
It ends with a beautiful relaxing 10 minute meditation to reduce stress, anxiety and improve overall wellbeing.
This class is held weekly on Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays from 10.00am to 10:45am AEST (Sydney time).
