Using the ancient tools of yoga and Ayurvedic techniques, Esther helps the client find balance and incorporate life skills into their day so they grasp the reins of their life rather than being pulled out of balance by life’s events, relationships and experiences. Esther uses a wide range of postures, breathing and meditative techniques for anxiety, stress, etc and relaxation to help let go and nourish. She uses various techniques to give clients insights as to what is out of balance and empower them by showing them how they can use yoga alone or alongside their regular healthcare plan to achieve improved wellbeing. Esther offers some specific practices to help target pain whether it is physical discomfort, a busy mind or negative habits etc. A private session is a way of nourishing and restoring and letting go of tensions. Yoga therapy sessions are 90 minutes long and include take-home plan and recordings. The plan is short and manageable and tailored to the client with pictures and instructions. Clients often come during or after having treatment or with auto-immune conditions to empower and help them manage. Others come to learn tools for stress, anxiety etc or simply to find practices to help with a range of aches and pains. Private sessions can help you gain the confidence to transition into a group class or how to modify according to your individual needs or to have a tailor made home plan made up for you - speak to Esther about what it is you want from the session/s. Term 4 Yoga - (pre-paid by the term) or casually, if space allows

Esther teaches Satyananda yoga (classical yoga - therapeutic, breath-centred, meditative... Esther teaches Satyananda yoga (classical yoga - therapeutic, breath-centred, meditative style) at Yoga in Hornsby in a private beautiful studio setting. Classes run with the school term (now until 17 December) and usually consist of 10 classes per term. I’d you are late to join just pay for the number of remaining weeks to hold your spot. A class typically has a 10 minute relaxation/meditative practice, followed by about 50 minutes of asanas (postures). You will be shown some breathing techniques (pranayama) which are also used throughout the practice, finishing with a deep meditative relaxation (yoga Nidra) with some deeper meditative practices such as trataka (candle gazing), mantra repetition, antar mouna (inner silence) and kaya stherium (stillness and steadiness), ajapajapa, etc being offered in the progressive beginner classes. Practices are modified for each individual so it is accessible for all including those who want a stronger practice, If there is space in the class, you may join as a casual which is $26 ($22 per class when pre-booked by the term/remainder of the term if space and joining late). Always check there is a spot directly with Esther before purchasing to avoid disappointment as they do tend to fill fast especially during covid when spots are even more limited. This is a course of three, two- hour sessions for expecting mothers and their support partner.... This is a course of three, two- hour sessions for expecting mothers and their support partner. I teach the expecting parent/s how to be more grounded, calm and prepared leading up to and during birth using the tools of mindfulness and hypnosis to help empower them in the birthing process. Many women have certain expectations (eg. drug free natural birth or baby arriving on due date etc) but we can't control life and what happens, only our response. It is about having tools to find calmness no matter what happens and making it a positive birth experience even if things don't go according to plan. I will teach you how to use certain tools that can help foster a positive birth experience. Read more
