Yin Yoga is an introspective yoga practice that offers us time & space to turn inward & nurture the calm, quiet centre that is innate in all of us. It is a practice in stillness, patience & non-reactivity, improving our flexibility & ability to respond to stress & dis-ease. Yin Yoga is a slow practice, allowing connection with mind & soul, to find & know ‘you’, your deepest self. Helping to guide you through all the challenges & journeys of life. Combining aspects of Buddhist mindfulness practices, Chinese meridian theory & classical yoga to create a deep experience of letting go. In holding grounded poses for an extended time, the fascia, the body’s interconnected energetics, begins to relax & release long-held tensions stored in the body & mind, helping to open the body, focus the mind & nourish the soul. Our Twilight Yin sessions, held the 1st Friday of most months, are a wonderful way to finish the week. As the name suggests, held in semi-darkness to help facilitate introspectiveness & self-examination. Please allow 95-minutes for these sessions, consisting of an 80-minute practice & 15-20 minutes afterwards to enjoy a cup of tea & chat before leaving. We offer authentic (not powder) chai tea with delicious, gluten free, tiger nut milk (the creamiest, yummiest dairy free milk), herbal tea, black tea & coffee (dairy or tiger nut milk) with our delicious home-made Gluten Free Vegan Cacao & Coconut balls.
