Sometimes the divine is seen as something above us, intangible, invisible, in the sky and... Sometimes the divine is seen as something above us, intangible, invisible, in the sky and in the stars. The earth by contrast is rough, filled with stones, visible, mundane. This attitude of opposites and separation has interfered with our earth connection and so our wellbeing. In this workshop, Tamasin draws on Wayapa®, an earth connection practice based on ancient Indigenous wisdom. Wellbeing requires connection between earth, mind, body and spirit. These cannot be separated. Many of us have become disconnected from our environment, from our tribe, from our food and from our Spirit. Through a combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, a series of physical movements and taking action to look after the planet, Wayapa® provides a sense of belonging to the Earth while creating holistic wellbeing. Wayapa® is about creating a different lifestyle but for those just starting, it can be done as a 25 minute physical practice, sitting or standing, or as a narrative meditation to slow us right down to sit in the stillness of nature. In this workshop, you will learn the practice of connecting with the 14 elements, adopt your personal totem element and learn how you can bring meaningful change to ensure greater earth, body, mind and spirit connection. Wayapa® will reignite your connection with your own earth ancestry and will anchor you with a long-lasting and powerful sense of belonging.
