And in trance, our perceptions of time seem to distort appearing shorter or longer. A reiki practitioner is trained to induce deep relaxation in a patient, reduce stress, and promote greater self-healing in the body. It is the process of ‘laying our hands’ on the body enabling the universal unseen ‘life force energy’ to flow through and heal our body from any discomfort, emotional distress, or anxiety.
