Cupping assists to mobilise blocked or stagnant qi, improve blood circulation and help the body expel toxins. During this treatment, needles are applied in the area affected, as well as on specific points of the body to help restore balance and harmony to the organ channels, also bringing fresh oxygenated blood into the region. Tracy then uses both suction and fire cupping along the affected area. Following cupping, the area becomes red, but none of the typical cupping circles. The cupping invigorates and moves the excess through the lymphatic pathways. The best results are seen over multiple treatments. A series of 12 treatments is recommended, as well as following simple lifestyle advice.
