Yukari is a reiki practitioner and energy healer with several years experience. Focusing on the physical, emotional and spiritual body, Yukari sees herself as an instrument for the healing energy to come through. Her life goal is to be of service to god, or a higher power. She believes disease and illness often comes from the way we think, or our past lives or ancestors, and she shares messages she receives with clients about their condition. Focusing on the physical, emotional and spiritual body, Yukari sees herself as an instrument for the healing energy to come through. Her life goal is to be of service to god, or a higher power. She believes disease and illness often comes from the way we think, or our past lives or ancestors, and she shares messages she receives with clients about their condition. One of Yukari’s clients, who was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and made a full recovery, incorporated reiki sessions into her overall program. Yukari acknowledges it was not solely the Reiki that healed this person, but the sense of calm, positivity and self-belief that resulted from the Reiki treatments that contributed to the healing. Yukari says she gives her clients more information so they consciously think about their condition and think more positively. Japanese born Yukari has primarily lived in Australia since 1991 and has worked as a Japanese language school teacher since then. She has taught in schools in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. Yukari also lived in India for 18 months and feels a strong affiliation with the southern part of the country. She says her time in India helped her to accept herself more, especially as a Japanese person adjusting to Australian culture.
