With a background of 20 years working with birthing women as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher, Doula and Childbirth Educator Yolande brings the energy of the grounded mystic to all her work. With 20 plus years of teaching, Yolande works with her clients to create a grounded, safe space woven with nature based philosophy and the language of soul evolution. Students are encouraged to expand on all levels within the practice and to find their way back to their own connected blueprint. Yolande has a reputation for storytelling and the ability to take her clients on a felt and experiential journey. Her focus is on connecting with the seasons and the Five-Element theory, which she builds into all her classes. Her outdoor practices are an embodied expression of her work and are where her clients experience the fullness of the seasonal vocabulary. While often seeing clients reap the physical benefits of a yoga pose over a couple of classes, it is seeing the transformation of the individual when taken beyond the physicality that is the real reward for Yolande. She has witnessed people make life-changing decisions, finding their tribe and growing through challenge and hardship through her work. Since first doing yoga as a teenager, Yolande has devoted her career to evolving the practice within herself and her students. She loves the creativity of opening up to the bigger, divine messages while she prepares for a class, watching, observing and listening to nature so that she can interpret its messages through her words and sequencing. She loves holding the space of the group whether online with her students, or face to face in the wilds, describing it as a "beautiful alchemy” of the grounded practice of yoga, which is deep in the blood and bones of the body, and the lofty heights of the Spirit Self. Yolande shares her yogic journey and philosophies of I Ching and Yoga Asana in her podcast Yoga For Your Ears, gives one on one intuitive readings, teaches outdoor yoga classes weekly, and larger outdoor gatherings based on the cosmic cycles. She lectures for graduates and post graduates, delivers seasonal intensives, is a published author and continues to write and create workshops and classes. Read more
