Ela has been working in the field of complementary health for more than 20 years and is trained in the Gold Standard of Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy. She was one of the first practitioners in Australia to specialise in internal cleansing and detoxification at a time when most people thought that ‘detox’ was for people with drug and alcohol problems. Ela specialises in working with clients experiencing gut issues, chronic fatigue syndrome and other parasite-related health problems. She loves helping her clients achieve incredible results and seeing lasting improvements over the long-term as they change for the better. Due to major health issues from birth, Ela developed a keen interest in all areas of complementary health, having researched and studied a wide variety of modalities all over the world. Starting in Germany with nutrition, herbs, and naturopathy, her travels later brought her to India to study Ayurveda and meditation, Korea to study acupuncture, Brazil to learn about shamanic practices and China to experience Feng-Shui. Once she settled in Australia in 1992, she continued her education and added Colon Hydrotherapy to her practice. Combined with a strong foundation in health and medical research, she is now one of Australia’s leading detoxification specialists. Ela knows that body, mind and spirit work together and total health has to incorporate all aspects of this trinity. Her motto is: ‘The only healer that can heal you is YOU’. Her mission is to help people to stay healthy by cleansing and detoxifying the body, mind, and soul naturally. She wants to encourage people to take responsibility for their own life and empower them to create their own reality, thereby allowing the awakening of inner peace and harmony. Her passion is teaching about complementary health, in particular the results she achieves with non-pharmaceutical health products including herbs and oils, which have been well received by the complementary health community. She is a big advocate for raising the minimum education and training benchmark for Colon Hydrotherapy and has trained many practitioners in the Gold Standard of Holistic Colon Hydrotherapy to ensure they get it right. She also founded and authored ‘Shanti Village’ and its related websites, a conglomerate of online resources for health and wellbeing established in 1998 and has contributed to a variety of health books. Her practice is based in Murwillumbah in the beautiful Tweed Shire of Northern NSW. Ela enjoys the company of happy prosperous people and likes to indulge in five-star raw food and French champagne. She finds balance with meditation and martial arts. Read more
