Elizabeth plays the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls (ACS Bowls), producing a range of resonant harmonies and sound vibrations. Elizabeth plays the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls (ACS Bowls), producing a range of resonant harmonies and sound vibrations. This beautiful, extraordinary soundscape (created by soundwaves) flows through the body, aligning the chakras, transforming negative energies and re-tuning the body, mind and soul with both colour and sound. When Elizabeth plays the bowls during a therapy session with another practitioner, for example during a massage or in a yoga class, participants report that the bowls enhance or amplify the experience. In a group situation people have talked about having out of body experiences while relaxing and listening. The ACS Bowls are more subtle and gentler than white frosted crystal singing bowls and differ in their effect, depending on the crystal infused in them. Elizabeth describes the bowls as magical and something that has to be experienced to fully appreciate. She sees herself as their custodian, and the magic she and the bowls create together as a ‘partnership’. Elizabeth spent more than 50 years as a registered nurse, retiring in 2020. She started playing the bowls in 2010 after first hearing them played at a festival, an experience she described as ‘heavenly’, commencing her studies in Crystal Sound Therapy in 2010 with Susie Nelson-Smith. Whether she is playing for groups or individuals, indoors or outdoors, Elizabeth gets as much transformation from playing the Bowls as people receive from listening to them. Elizabeth offers a mobile service and plays regularly for labyrinth walks; she also plays in hospitals for staff and patients, using three bowls to play for individual patients at their bedsides. She also offers her services as part of a routine meditation session; for yoga and women’s retreats; concerts and meditation events; and body, mind and spirit festivals. Read more
