Simon is a renowned master Qigong teacher and practitioner, dedicated to assisting others in maximizing their potential and improving their quality of life. Leading regular Qigong classes for beginning and continuing students since 1990, Simon works with many different groups, helping them to develop self-healing skills to manage their stress levels. After a near fatal accident at the age of 19, and four years of intensive physical rehabilitation, Simon was told by one of Australia’s leading orthopaedic surgeons he would never again lead an active life. Determined to turn this grim prognosis around, Simon began to investigate different methods of healing and rejuvenation, which included acupuncture, osteopathy and Tai Chi. Four years later, Simon became a qualified Tai Chi instructor and in the years following, he began exploring the extraordinary power of the life force - Qi. By 1998, Simon had been awarded the title of Qigong Master in recognition of his deeper understanding and his ability to assist others in their own transformation of their Qi. Simon has received World Health Organisation certification in Medical Qigong clinical practice from the Xiyuan Hospital in Beijing. He has been initiated into Dragon Gate Daoism and given the name of Xin Si, meaning “genuine wisdom” and is a 29th generation of the ancient Da Yan - Wild Goose Qigong. He also is a Deputy Secretary of The World Academic Society of Medical Qigong in Beijing China. In 2010 Simon was presented with the Dedication Award for his initiative to improve the life quality of people and development of medical Qigong. Simon is regularly sought after as a leading speaker and demonstrator of traditional Qigong practises at meditation retreats, lifestyle festivals and community events. He is a notable author on the Chinese healing arts and produced numerous books and DVDs. After working for more 30 years to help spread the benefits of meditation, peace and love, and to help give people the opportunity of cultivating their internal energies, Simon believes the quest for self- realization is a continuing journey.
