Evie is an integrative psychotherapy practitioner and counsellor who integrates joy, laughter and play into her creative sessions through art therapy. Working with a broad range of clients, Evie has a particular interest in supporting people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and addiction. Evie also incorporates Christian counselling into her offerings when requested. A strong believer in the quote “I am not my behaviour”, Evie utilises her experience in psychotherapy and counselling to shift perceptions and her passion for art therapy to help people express and find solutions through creativity. Growing up in Budapest, having severe dyslexia, being a wife of two decades and a mum of two children and experiencing her own mental health challenges and anorexia with lots of ups and downs in between, Evie brings a range of interesting life experiences to counselling. Evie found herself drawn to self-help and spiritual methodologies leading her to the transpersonal methods of art therapy and later to Christianity. Between 2015 to 2021, she has advanced her education in transpersonal art therapy, integrative psychotherapy and transpersonal counselling. She has also completed a Certificate IV in mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and life coaching. Throughout her career, she has believed in the importance of giving back. For many years, she facilitated a weekly art therapy group for people transitioning from addiction to healing and is now an active member of the Community Drug Action Team on the Gold Coast and facilitates their youth art therapy group. With many of her clients often leaving a session laughing and saying “I can conquer this”, Evie invites you to join her for a fun and creative counselling experience. Read more
