Doreena is a yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer and Reiki Master who believes yoga assists us all to rise to the challenge of life’s physical, mental and emotional difficulties. With more than 25 years teaching experience, Doreena always aims to offer classes that can accommodate everyone, from the least able to the most able, providing a nurturing style of practice in a safe, non-comparative space. Doreena is a yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer and Reiki Master who believes yoga assists us all to rise to the challenge of life’s physical, mental and emotional difficulties. With more than 25 years teaching experience, Doreena always aims to offer classes that can accommodate everyone, from the least able to the most able, providing a nurturing style of practice in a safe, non-comparative space. Beyond the range of physical improvements that yoga inevitably brings to her students, Doreena says her classes also create a sense of happiness and wellness that fosters better relationships between families and community. She regularly offers reiki during the relaxation stage of her yoga classes, helping to release energy through the body, which triggers the healing process. Doreena has been running her Yoga Teacher Training Academy since 2000 providing a classical course that equips people to become a Level 2 teacher. Many of her students who started as beginners have since become teachers. Doreena did her first yoga class at the age of 14 and can’t imagine life without it. She loves simply being able to help others, which in turn helps her in all aspects of her own life. She has travelled to India numerous times where she has received tuition from a number of yoga teachers. Doreena looks forward to welcoming you to her yoga studio on the beautiful Gold Coast.
