Michele is an experienced personal trainer, Vinyasa yoga teacher and Wayapa practitioner. She is a proud Kamiliroi woman who has been living on Yuin Country on the NSW South Coast for over two decades. Michele owns and operates a small private training studio in Bega where she is a fitness/ strength and mobility trainer and yoga teacher. She has also lived in and raised two of her children in Canberra, so Ngunnawal Country has called her back to walk that land and be seated many times, teaching kids yoga and mini fitness sessions at three early larning education centres. Michele has had a lifelong passion for sports and fitness, training and competing as a power lifter and weight lifter for many years. With a background in the disability sector and palliative care, Michele has had long-term professional experience and personal interest in health and wellness. Following diagnosis of a brain tumour 15 years ago and a very harsh treatment plan, Michele started to explore lots of different natural therapies. She now has a “friendly” relationship with her brain tumour, staying as active and healthy as possible. Drawn to Wayapa Wuurrk after learning more about her family heritage and a love for the mindfulness and energy exchange, Michele became a qualified Wayapa practitioner in 2021. Michele now runs personal training and yoga from her private studio in Bega and faciliates Wayapa on-site for corporate organisations and groups, often intertwining yoga and nature immersion where possible. She teaches and shares Wayapa on Yuin Country, Ngunnawal Country and beyond. Michele looks forward to sharing Wayapa in the NSW school system and has a strong desire to work in the Aboriginal community to share her yoga, fitness and health knowledge. She welcomes you to join her. Read more
