Dr. Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana is a cognitive neuroscientist, life coach and mindfulness and self-compassion teacher who uses a combination of science and practicality to help people boost their self-esteem, confidence and self-compassion. She loves to support people’s psychological and general wellbeing by helping them to make positive changes in their mental and behavioural patterns using tools and strategies from state-of-the-art research findings. Dr. Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana is a cognitive neuroscientist, life coach and mindfulness and self-compassion teacher who uses a combination of science and practicality to help people boost their self-esteem, confidence and self-compassion. She loves to support people’s psychological and general wellbeing by helping them to make positive changes in their mental and behavioural patterns using tools and strategies from state-of-the-art research findings. While her clients may initially come to her seeking support for stress management, insomnia, challenges at work or relationship difficulties, Olga-Lucia often finds that the underlying theme comes back to self-esteem and confidence. Using her expertise in neuroscience, coaching and mindfulness, Olga-Lucia helps her clients to create a new path by trying different life experiments and finding the right tools and techniques unique to them. She loves witnessing the “aha” moment of someone’s life-changing experience when they find peace and truth. Initially working as a physicist, Olga-Lucia has always been interested in understanding human emotions and their consequences. Fascinated by how the laws of physics and the laws of the human mind and heart are so different, Olga-Lucia started learning more about psychology and the mind, conducting experiments and helping herself heal in the process. Olga-Lucia holds a PhD in Neuroscience, has studied psychology specialising in emotional education and stress management, and became a teacher of mindfulness and self-compassion (MSC) and a life coach. She is also certified as a teacher of mindful eating (MB-EAT program) and is trained in acceptance and commitment therapy. Olga-Lucia is currently finalising her Masters in Psychotherapy and looks forward to integrating principles of this into her work with her clients. When it comes to self-esteem and confidence, we are all a constant work-in-progress. Olga-Lucia knows that it can often feel impossible to change, but through supporting you to experiment with mindfulness, movement, learning to nurture yourself and other evidence-based tools and strategies, she can help you find what is helpful and what is not.
