Eleni is a certified clinical Ayurvedic specialist. Eleni’s mission is to inspire, empower and educate individuals to live extraordinary lives in harmony with nature and each other. She has a thriving Ayurvedic practice and creates confident home healers with her popular “Ayurvedic Skills for Living” courses. Her extensive knowledge of Ayurveda supports her fierce passion for teaching and healing. For over a decade, she was a beloved faculty member at the California College of Ayurveda where she taught and mentored students. She also taught at Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic program for over five years, and her own Belly Mind Institute was an approved school with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). Eleni drank deep from the yoga cup in 1995 while practising law in Sydney. She soon completed the renowned Sydney Yoga Center’s teacher training course, quit the legal profession and followed her dream to teach yoga full-time. In 2004, she ventured to Los Angeles and began intensive study with Robert J. Birnberg, a senior student in the Krishnamacharya Lineage. The central focus of her studies was the "Yoga Sutras off Patanjali", the planet’s first spiritual psychology text and yoga therapy manual. A lifelong student, she has continued her studies with Mary Thomson (senior teacher at CCA), renowned herbalist KP Khalsa, and her yoga teacher and husband Robert Birnberg. Eleni is a member of the American Herbalists Guild and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (USA). After 15 years of studying and cultivating a thriving practice in California, she has recently returned to Sydney and is now offering in-depth consultations either in person or online. Eleni looks forward to helping you eat wisely, get healthy and improve the quality of your life. Read more
