Coreen is a kinesiologist interested in the interrelationship between mind and body and the variety of ways in which we handle emotions and experiences. She practices the gentle therapy of holistic kinesiology, using both the physical and energetic body as a map to guide the content of her sessions. Her techniques include balancing of acupressure points, working with the chakra system, sound therapy, and deep relaxation techniques, which all work towards improved self-awareness, clearing of emotional blockages and bringing the body out of fight or flight mode, and into a calm and balanced state. Coreen’s clients are often overwhelmed, stressed or sometimes in physical pain. She aims to improve their self-awareness and offer them a different way of viewing their issues, so they understand their bodies more. Working as a nurse and paramedic for the past 15 years, Coreen loves being able to help people. She was prompted to study kinesiology after experiencing it for some pain in her hand, which not only removed the pain, but also changed her perspective on health and wellness. She established her Blue Mountains kinesiology practice in 2018. Coreen feels incredibly rewarded by being able to help people in a meaningful way through kinesiology, as she shows them the extraordinary power of the body to heal itself. She is also the author of Rose and the Awakening of the Goddess, a book for 7-13 year old girls centred on feminine healing that aims to inspire women and girls to look at every aspect of themselves with more reverence.
