Throughout her childhood, Supriya witnessed the power of Ayurveda with her own eyes when her sister was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 6. After being treated through the Western system and hand in hand with Ayurveda, doctors were amazed at how quickly her sister recovered once in remission, cementing Supriya’s belief in Ayurveda. As her passion grew, she went on to study Ayurveda in-depth in order to bring the benefits of this ancient science to people who want to fine-tune their overall health in a safe, efficient and effective way. She has learned from natural health and nutrition experts such as Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, David Wolfe, Dr Walter Willett and Barry Sears at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Supriya has also studied under one of the most experienced and respected Ayurvedic practitioners in Australia, Dr Rama Prasad, and the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies. With Indian heritage, Supriya grew up with the principles of Ayurveda in the family home with knowledge about the healing properties of spices and food passed down by her mother and grandmother. With one foot solidly in India and the other foot firmly planted in Australia, Supriya loves being able to give back culturally while helping others. People often come to her struggling with sleep deprivation, burnout and gut issues. Supriya loves helping people seamlessly integrate Ayurveda into their life with simple incremental changes. While Ayurveda can often be seen as quite extreme or rigid, Supriya knows that it doesn’t need to be. She is passionate about translating Ayurvedic wisdom for life in today’s world to suit each individual’s mind, body and lifestyle. She also particularly enjoys working with people who want to explore more about how Ayurveda works hand in hand with yoga and meditation - because after all, Ayurveda is the root place where these other modalities have come from. Supriya now conducts one-on-one consultations and facilitates a comprehensive five week Ayurvedic program to support her clients to implement changes slowly, embed Ayurvedic knowledge, stay accountable and committed, and see deep, sustainable and positive changes. Supriya looks forward to helping you achieve better health with Ayurveda to help you feel, look and operate at your best. Read more
