Andrijana Miler is a healing arts practitioner, integrating body-oriented therapies with therapeutic touch practices and psychosomatic therapy. She has worked for more than 15 years in private practice as well as part of a team with physiotherapists, osteopaths and psychotherapists. She uses a diverse range of modalities to suit the individual needs of clients and combines a variety of therapeutic modalities. Theses range from the application of remedial massage and touch therapy to the use of art, sound and aromatherapy with her enthusiasm for and current studies in counselling and psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing trauma therapy. Andrijana has studied in Australia and the United Kingdom and holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage, a BA in Drama and Theatre and a Masters of Physical Theatre and Dance as well as training in a range of modalities. She has just completed Advanced Level of the Somatic Experiencing® three year program and is currently undertaking Supervision to become a registered SE practitioner. As a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner in Training, she integrates SE techniques into her practice. She is also currently completing Graduate Diploma of Counselling through the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and transiting towards staring a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Andrijana describes herself as a “tracker”. She is fascinated by connection and disconnection and is interested in the unseen and unarticulated spaces in the body and psyche. As a trauma surviver herself, Andrijana can empathically connect to the trauma void in others and provide nurturing relational space of safety and compassion. She grew up in Novi Travnik, in the former Yugoslavia. During the Bosnian War, she worked with the United Nations as a translator being witness to mayhem and destruction, and ultimately becoming a political refugee in the United Kingdom. Andrijana has been awarded UN Medal of Peace for her work in Bosnia and Hercegovina in 2023. Andrijana believes it is important to let something in rather than let go and wants her monsters to be visible. She is on a continuous search to be of service to others and help ignite curiosity towards developing our own voice and autonomy. Andrijana works in clinics and centres across North Sydney and Ocean Shores and is an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and a student member of PACFA. She looks forward to providing and creating a safe space for you. Read more
