Practitioner Help Centre

What is the difference between education and training vs qualification?

To ensure the highest standards of professionalism, care, and transparency within our community we have created a unique qualification process framework that informs how our practitioners are assessed to become part of our global collective.

This process aligns any qualification against the industry benchmarks set by appropriate associations or governing bodies and is integral to our purpose and imperative for us to build trust with our brand.

As part of your education, we appreciate you may have studied other therapies and/or pursued continued professional development that may not meet these industry benchmarks in one or more of the various components i.e. total hours of study, application of technical skills and knowledge through clinical, an understanding of safe practices and compliance, first aid, business and practice management.

We want to acknowledge all that you have learned while upholding our promise to our community that our practitioners are highly qualified.

Therefore we have created separate categories as follows:

Education and Training

In this area on your profile page, you can add any other training courses you have attended, books you have authored, CDs/music created, community work, or articles you have published. You will be required to provide documentation to substantiate the training and any other elements.

This detail may also be included in your biography, and/or weaved into your service offering if appropriate.

Qualification

As we outline in our Standards Checklist, not every qualification is the same. That is why we review each qualification against industry benchmarks set by the appropriate industry association, governing body, or in the aspect of emerging and traditional, specific lineage or expertise with recognised bodies or elders to ensure a credible standard has been set.

We do offer a special consideration if in viewing the whole set of your qualifications, all necessary components and/or years of experience cover the industry standards set. Our practitioner team will be able to assist you with this process.

We will continue to evolve our qualification standards and are willing to work with the industry and our practitioners to maintain a professional framework that builds trust and honors your skills and experience.
