What is the difference between choosing to use the Booking System or Reservation Requests?
For Practitioners who use our Booking System
Our booking platform is available for use by practitioners on Standard, Premium, or Angkor Grace levels of membership.
Practitioners who use our booking platform receive the benefit of SoulAdvisor’s booking platform functionality including payment gateway (Stripe), integrated Zoom link for online bookings, automated booking reminders, two-way calendar syncing to manage availability, reschedule option, chat feature, and our cancellation policy.
Please note that we use a third-party provider to process the payments, so an additional Stripe processing fee is applied on a confirmed booking.
After the booking has been completed (1-1's and classes), Stripe will release the payment to the practitioner, less the Stripe processing fee.
For all other service types, the practitioner will receive a Reservation Request through the SoulAdvisor platform from a potential client and will need to organise a booking time and direct payment with them.
For practitioners who do not use our booking platform
Use of the booking system is limited to paid membership and not available for the free membership level.
Some practitioners do not wish to connect to SoulAdvisor’s booking platform. This may be due to their booking system not being compatible with our platform (eg. Cliniko) or perhaps wanting:
- To offer private health fund rebates to clients on the day of the service;
- Flexibility to vary working hours without updating an electronic calendar; or
- The ability to determine what, when, or how they charge their clients.
These practitioners will receive a Reservation Request through the SoulAdvisor platform from a potential client and will need to organise a booking time and direct payment with them. All arrangements are to be handled externally by the practitioner rather than the SoulAdvisor system.
In all cases, the client and the practitioner will be made aware of the booking or reservation request by automatically generated SMS and email notifications from SoulAdvisor. We ask that practitioners answer these requests promptly to build trust in the SoulAdvisor system and to avoid frustration for the potential client. Please note that after 24 hours of non-response to bookings, our system automatically declines a booking request and refunds the client's payment.
