SoulAdvisor Community Standards

SoulAdvisor is a global platform built on trust. It is centred around our purpose of wellness for all and supported by a set of commonly held values.

Our community standards will guide behaviours to ensure everyone is heard, valued, and supported.

The SoulAdvisor community, including our team, practitioners, and users, undertakes to be proactively trustworthy, purpose-driven, global, inclusive, transparent, and accessible. We see these values as fundamental to our guiding principle: Nourish Yourself. Heal our World.

Below are ways we expect our community (team members, partners and collaborators, practitioners, clients, and customers) to operate when engaging with the rest of the SoulAdvisor community. Our standards inform what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, as part of our global collective.

 

Trustworthy 

Our community is based on relationships and built on trust, enabling us to create an environment within which you can feel safe, heard, and supported.

We do this through:

Authenticity in all our interactions 

  • Our customers and clients engage with practitioners and within our community authentically and genuinely. This includes but is not limited to, representing themselves authentically, having the means to pay for services that are requested and not expecting more than what is described in the service offering. 

  • To the best of their ability, our practitioners are responsible for ensuring their SoulAdvisor profile is accurate and reflects their current situation. 

  • Our practitioners ensure communication, appointments, and ongoing dealings are completed within our agreed platform guidelines and that they offer a consistent SoulAdvisor client experience.  In all cases, whether moving relationships offline or remaining within the SoulAdvisor platform, practitioners make note of having attended to the Explorer's request, thus ensuring SoulAdvisor oversees a seamless and smooth experience for our Explorers.

  • SoulAdvisor operates from a place of integrity, remains authentic to its purpose, and has the community's best interest at the core of all decisions.

Honouring our word 

  • Our practitioners provide customers with the service as described and agreed upon in their service offerings. The practitioner who is listed on the SoulAdvisor platform must be the practitioner who delivers the service.

  • If a booking is agreed upon, then it is expected that the practitioner and client honour this booking and show up to the appointment on time, and understand that the booking needs to be completed at the agreed time. If there is a need to cancel a booking, then either the client and/or practitioner will communicate with each other, and if appropriate, a refund will be provided.

  •  When our clients provide a review their review must honour what truly happened.

  • Throughout all our interactions, communications, and operations, SoulAdvisor holds the intention to always deliver on commitments made.

 Honest and upfront communication 

  • Through clear and honest communication our practitioners will manage expectations and assist the customers to create realistic goals related to the service provided.

  • Our clients enter into the relationship with their chosen practitioners with a willingness to be supported and an openness to learn new ways to further their wellness journey.

  • At all times, we ask our clients to let our practitioners know if they feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or uncertain and need further clarification. Our practitioners, as part of their duty of care, should handle these situations in a professional manner as well as be aware of any cues that their clients may need assistance or support, and act accordingly. A client and practitioner relationship built on trust is a two-way communication (both verbal and non-verbal) and both share a mutual responsibility for this exchange.

  • Through our live chat functionality, SoulAdvisor facilitates a safe environment for practitioners and customers to be honest and upfront about any personalised concerns prior to the actual treatment. 

  • SoulAdvisor does not support any behaviour that is threatening, disparaging, or disrespectful within our community. If anyone believes they are or have experienced unwanted behaviours that do not uphold our community standards, we would ask them to be informed to address the issue appropriately. 

 

Purpose-driven

Our purpose is to be a global facilitator of health and wellness through access, education, and advancement of wellness and complementary therapies. Our community is based on relationships and all decisions made and steps taken will be with this in mind.

Holding a common intention 

  • As part of our global collective, our practitioners are committing to helping create a happier, healthier world. We encourage our practitioners to uphold this global purpose in every interaction they have with others within and outside of our community. 

  • Practitioners are responsible for conducting their own business. Whilst all of our practitioners are unique, they are hand-selected for their alignment for the greater purpose of healing our world.

  • Our practitioners will create an environment that will allow the customer to be heard, seen, and feel supported in their wellness journey.

  • Our customers will invest in and take responsibility for their own healing, which contributes to SoulAdvisor’s global purpose of nourishing your soul and healing our world.

Strength in unison 

  • Each profile represents an individual practitioner running their own business, who has decided to join a global collective. Our practitioners support a common purpose to heal our world and uphold our community values.

  • SoulAdvisor ensures that its qualification standards align with appropriate associations to provide our community with a unified approach to qualifications and standards.

  • SoulAdvisor and our practitioners will support and encourage our customers and clients along their wellness journey.

  • When entering into any relationship within the SoulAdvisor community, everyone's needs are heard, addressed, and united through a common goal.

A purpose-driven model 

  • By using the SoulAdvisor platform, our practitioners and clients are supporting a purpose-driven business in the complementary health and wellness space.

  • A portion of profits generated by SoulAdvisor will be provided to The SoulAdvisor Foundation Limited to advance health through education, research, and raising public awareness of the benefits of T&CM.

A global community with a common purpose, enabling practitioners and customers to have access to, and interact within, a consistent framework.

  • Our practitioners contribute to our global purpose of healing our world through the delivery of their individual services, creating safe healing environments, and making a difference to their clients.

  • Our clients commit to expanding their self-awareness and taking responsibility for their wellness journey which contributes to our global vision.

  • SoulAdvisor shares informative content to assist in the preventative and healing aspects of a wellness journey. This is sourced from credible, global sources. 

  • Working to address the alleviation of non-communicable diseases as per the World Health Organization’s action plan, SoulAdvisor contextualises our individual efforts within the global collective.

Global community, local understanding

  • Practitioners’ qualifications may be attained in a different country than your domicile however, SoulAdvisor looks to aligned associations to ensure our vetting criteria meet industry standards.

  • SoulAdvisor is open to understanding local health frameworks, qualifications, service delivery, and communication methodology and looks to align consistently while acknowledging differences and upholding our common purpose.

  • SoulAdvisor provides a consistent framework of professional profiles and easy-to-use booking functionality for our customers and clients to access practitioners via our online global network. 

 

Inclusive 

Diversity and inclusion are critical within our community-based interactions and enable us to grow with mutual respect and understanding.

  • SoulAdvisor encourages interactions across all our social media platforms and feedback channels, and we will continue to grow our platform based on our community feedback.

  • SoulAdvisor builds forums where information is shared, content is provided across areas of interest and there is an openness for contributions based on our editorial guidelines and content policy.

  • Our practitioners contribute to opportunities provided by SoulAdvisor to extend the knowledge and experience of traditional and complementary medicine (T&CM) and wellness therapies to the general public. 

  • Our clients' feedback will enable us to continually build a platform that meets their needs. SoulAdvisor encourages them to share their wellness stories as a vital member of the global community.

Willingness to understand and discernment

  • SoulAdvisor is a responsive organisation, growing through listening to our community’s views and feedback with respect for diversity, whilst using discernment to uphold our purpose.

  • SoulAdvisor does not accept any discrimination nor harassment in the reviews and ratings process. 

A respect for humanity 

  • SoulAdvisor upholds the egalitarian principle that it is everyone’s birthright to be well. With this in mind, SoulAdvisor endeavours to provide opportunities for everyone to access information and services through our various channels.

  • A portion of profits generated by SoulAdvisor will be provided to the SoulAdvisor Foundation, to advance health through education, research, and raising public awareness of the benefits of T&CM.

  • Through SoulAdvisor’s understanding of the rich reciprocity between individual, community, and planetary health we provide our clients access to highly qualified T&CM practitioners contributing towards the healing of our planet.

  • SoulAdvisor makes an effort to depict our practitioners and demonstrate their skills and experience, enabling our clients and customers to view a profile and connect via live chat before deciding on their wellness journey.

  • SoulAdvisor’s pricing model is clear, transparent, and connected to the services that are provided on our platform. 

  • Practitioners ensure they manage their bookings and reservations to accurately reflect availability and facilitate the client’s use of the SoulAdvisor platform.

  • SoulAdvisor’s booking system seamlessly connects our practitioners to their clients.

Ability to provide reviews

  • SoulAdvisor provides a review and rating process to facilitate client feedback on practitioner interactions, which may assist customer choices prior to making a commitment to book with a practitioner. 

  • SoulAdvisor sets strong standards concerning what can and can’t be contained in reviews. No spam, self-promotion, links, offensive language nor specifics about health outcomes or situations are allowed, as outlined in our SoulAdvisor Review Policy.

  • SoulAdvisor is open to collaborating with associations, brand partners, and aligned networks while supporting its community of practitioners, clients, and customers - an exclusive invitation to all who align with our global purpose of health for all.

  • Practitioners through their informative profiles and availability via our booking system, invite our customers to become clients to support their wellness journey.

  • Clients through their engagement via an appointment booking, submitting a review, or providing feedback, invite us to be part of their wellness journey.

  • SoulAdvisor honours everyone’s wellness journey and believes every connection is an invitation to support each other.

Offering an easy-to-use platform

  • SoulAdvisor provides an online platform that has researched the appropriateness of each therapy to symptoms, qualified their practitioners to a stringent framework, and provided live chat and professional profiles that customers and clients can seamlessly access and connect before making a commitment to action. 

  • SoulAdvisor provides a secure, easy-to-use financial payment process for both practitioners and clients via a secure third-party provider.

  • SoulAdvisor will continue to enhance the platform based on feedback, and grow our reach ensuring accessibility to credible content, qualified practitioners, and global research on the benefits of T&CM.

Any reference to "our practitioners" means practitioners who are registered on the SoulAdvisor platform.  Practitioners are not employees, contractors, or agents of SoulAdvisor. All treatments and consultations are independently provided directly by the practitioner to the client and not through SoulAdvisor.

For practitioners to be added to the SoulAdvisor platform, they must meet several criteria established by SoulAdvisor. SoulAdvisor is not an educational institution or training organisation and does not issue any qualifications (formal or otherwise) to practitioners.
