Join from wherever you live in the world - Wayapa Wuurrk® Connecting to Country online workshops.
Want to learn more about Wayapa Wuurrk® from one of its co-founders? Now is your chance!
Our speaker Jamie Marloo Thomas co-founded Wayapa Wuurrk® in 2014 with Sara Jones and in consultation with his Elders and community. Wayapa Wuurrk® means “connect to the Earth” in the language of the Maara and GunaiKurnai peoples respectively.
Wayapa® was created to change thinking around how we view the idea of what it means to be well. It adds the most important word - Earth - to the well-known concept of mind body spirit wellbeing.
Jamie says “imagine if all 7.5 billion people on Earth took care of their own special place”.
Now an internationally-accredited modality, Wayapa® is an earth connection practice which is all about reconnecting the disconnected and providing practical, sustainable measures for generations to come.
Wayapa® offers a powerful combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, physical movements and environmental stewardship. Through this practice, we re-establish a profound connection with our surroundings, finding harmony with nature and rekindling our bond with our tribe and Spirit.
If you’d also like to join Jem Stone at 6pm on Wednesday 21 June and Marie Dennis at 7.30am on Friday 23 June for an incredible week of Wayapa, you’ll receive a special package rate of $90.
We also encourage donations to SoulAdvisor and Ngungwulah Aboriginal Corporation.
Held in collaboration with Wayapa Wuurrk® as part of the lead up to the Yuin Healing Trail, we look forward to welcoming you.
