A 5 week series of workshops that integrate both ceramics & somatic practices
Weekly 120 min sessions on Tuesday evenings at my shared studio in Thomastown starting on Tuesday Feb. 25th
☆ harnessing the ability to access the subconscious and joy of working with clay and breath in a relaxed environment.
☆ the opportunity to playfully explore what feels good as you learn to work with the clay. I offer prompts and technical guidance to support you to find your way.

What to expect:
☆ exploring the merging of art and wellbeing; the intention for these sessions is to let go of expectation to find your voice through clay.
It is a practice of getting to know the clay and learning to play again.
Sessions start with guided breath awareness and guided making to allow you to drop out of your mind and into the clay, exploring movements that feel good.
☆ the emphasis will be on making mistakes and pushing the clays limits.
☆ the use of suitable found materials such as glass is encouraged.
☆ the sessions are self directed and hand building techniques are offered as you practice, covering primary principles such as pinching and coiling.
☆ no experience necessary, all welcome- an inclusive and welcoming space
☆ 2 kg of firing is included , thereafter there is a firing fee of $12 per kg
☆ a limited number of glazes and slips are available, with the emphasis being on raw firing and using suitable found materials such as glass.
