The Australian Breathwork is a professional association that supports the development and maintenance of Professional standards in Breathwork in the form of Conscious Connected Breathing. It welcomes all those who know and love the extraordinary power of Breathwork.
Our Mission: We support the development and maintenance of professional standards in Breathwork, in the form of Conscious Connected Breathing. In doing so, it is our intention to serve individuals in their quest for peace of mind, happiness and connection with Spirit.

Standard of acceptance for each therapies
A Professional Member of the Australian Breathwork Association (ABA) must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Breathwork qualification that complies with current ABA training standards.
- Maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance and a current First Aid qualification.
- Adhere to the ABA Code of Ethics.
- Undertake Continuing Professional Education (CPE).
- Engage in Professional Supervision and Peer Support and Review.
- Submit an annual membership renewal report, confirming compliance with these standards.

The ABA requires all professional Breathwork practitioners to participate in regular Peer Support and Review as a core component of practice, training, and ongoing professional development. This applies to:
- Breathwork practitioners
- Group facilitators
- Trainers
- Supervisors

Trainers, Mentors, and Supervisors:
The ABA is proud to have experienced Trainers, Mentors, and Supervisors among its professional members. These seasoned professionals are available to support others on their personal and professional journeys. If you’re seeking guidance, you are encouraged to connect directly with a trainer or mentor.
CPD requirements
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an essential requirement for all Breathwork professionals within the Australian Breathwork Association (ABA) to maintain high standards of practice and professional growth. The ABA mandates that practitioners engage in regular Professional Supervision, with one session required for every 25 client sessions or at least once every three months, whichever occurs first. Group Facilitators and Trainers must participate in Peer Support sessions at least once every three months or whenever a professional issue arises. These sessions serve as a structured environment for self-reflection, skill enhancement, ethical practice review, and professional accountability. By actively participating in CPD through supervision and peer support, Breathwork professionals ensure they are delivering safe, effective, and evolving practices aligned with the ABA’s ethical and professional standards.
